CLÁUSULAS RELATIVAS RESTRICTIVAS REDUCIDAS

Relative clauses are used to provide essential information about the noun they refer to, without using relative pronouns such as "who," "that," or "which." These clauses help make communication more direct and concise. Below, we will explore the use of object pronouns in reduced relative clauses.

Object pronoun (that)

Relative clauses using the object pronoun "that" are used to refer to people, things, or places. In reduced clauses, the relative pronoun is omitted, but the meaning remains the same. The pronoun "that" can replace "whom" (for people) or "which" (for things).

Estructura:

Subject + verb + direct object

Ejemplos:

     La balsa de remos que montamos fue increíble.

2. I loved the carousel that we went on last night.
     Me encantó el carrusel en el que fuimos anoche.

Object pronoun (who)

When using the pronoun "who" in relative clauses, it generally refers to people. In the context of reduced clauses, "who" is omitted, and the same structure is used without the pronoun.

     Las sillas voladoras que giraban se veían fantásticas.

Ayude al teacher a traducir al inglés las siguientes oraciones:

1. La rueda de la fortuna en la que fuimos era enorme.

2. Disfruté el trampolín que estaba en el parque.

3. El túnel del miedo que nos asustó fue increíble.
